| (Lack of visuals a shout-out to pioneer days) Things that aren't papers, speeches, interactive presentations, or having to do with music theory: 1.I perform my annual trip-and-fall-up-stairs-in-Christmastide-processional. As always, the 80 mile long dress and impractical heels are to blame. Although I don't believe it's audible on the recording this year.
2. My seasonal disdain for the climate increases exponentially. Why, no, hadn't realized that a 1600 pound car with one good tire, anti-anti-lock brakes, and not power steering would put a serious damper on my winter travel. Huh. (For some reason I keep thinking it will get better when I'm back from Christmas break. Ha! Ha!)
3. I buy a white button-down, and wear it TUCKED INto high-waisted dress pants. Whaa? I have witnesses that say it looked good. 4. I begin to fear salmonella. I was playing with Bowser and then I felt a strange, queasy foreboding. I would hate for Bowz to be the hospitalization of me. 5. T9 Word finally seduces me into the text messaging of the future. Two years of rapid-repeated-button-pushing doesn't go down easy, that's all I'm sayin'.
| Yeah. Seriously. I MADE THAT. I'm like a person you don't even know anymore. Or the same, but with mad cooking skills. ANYways, I need to 1) get plane tickets home 2) make a Christmas list for the Haak Family Christmas website. What? You'd like a visual?
Please check out my sister. (Yes, that's a sister. Haha.) Oh, I love you, B. Also, admit it, one of the more flattering pictures from your childhood. You blame Mom and Dad, but somehow I slipped by looking as cute as I do right here. Man, what a cutie. Cutiecutiecutecute. Haha. Still chuckling. Today I was making food (really!) and melted my phone charger cord on the burner. It's still working I think (nine hours running anyway) and now it just has a big melty spot in the middle which will always remind me of this day. You know, that wacky day when I melted my phone charger cord on the burner. Oh, the list. 3) Get an internship, pronto. Holy stress all up in my biznass. 4) Buy a suit. Ew! I know! Wait, not a bathing suit. An I'm-impressive-hire-me suit. 5) Grab me some ice cream. (In this moment. brb.)
Well maybe not brb. But me and ice cream together forever (I'm busy now).
| Just tryin' this out, for a second. I haven't employed this form of procrastination since last spring, and that was probably a good idea, considering I'm about 40 now and far to old for this newfangled tomfoolry.<--(sp?) No one will see, I don't think. Unless (gasp) facebook imports it. How embarrassing.

| Today I got bored in Theology and colored the tips of my nails with pink felt-tip pen, which was dumb, because that stuff doesn't come off, duh. It's almost my birthday, guys. Whoo and stuff. I'm going to announce it all over starting tomorrow, and instead of people getting annoyed, everyone's going to get totally excited with me! Hoo ray! | | |
| Here is my lastest work, entitled "What is the most time-consuming form of procrastination? Oh! Painting, photographing, and posting on xanga!" and also known as "Coolest Screen Tee I Ever Saw," mixed media on fake canvas:
And indeed, it is stuck to my wall with a bunch of sticky putty, revealing my status as a true artist. Bowser always gets stuck on my chair. Does it everyday. He's all about the challenge:
He seems cool with it, anyway.
